Dominik Hasek offers best tribute to Patrick Kane with hilarious anecdote

The entire hockey world paid tribute to Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane ahead of his 1000th NHL game on Tuesday night - but no one did it with more humor than goalie legend Dominik Hasek.

In his video tribute, Hasek is casually sitting on a park bench and recalls a great anecdote about Kane and his father, and how he allowed the star player to score on his to please his padre. 

Hasek and Kane belong to different generations, but when the latter last night played his 1000th game with the Hawks, it turned out that they have a connection from Buffalo, where Kane grew up and where Hasek was the goalie with the Sabres during 90s. And that’s how this great anecdote took place. 

It is hilarious, yet charming and probably the best tribute given to Kane that night, and that even if captain Jonathan Toews came out of hiding to congratulate his teammate and close friend.
