This just in, New Jersey Devils captain Nico Hischier will be out of his team's lineup long-term after suffering a head injury last week.

Check it out:

From the Devils' official website:

Center Nico Hischier sustained a head injury when he was struck in the visor by a puck on February 27 vs. Washington.
He has a sinus fracture and is currently in concussion protocol. Based on the injury, his timeline is week-to-week, as he undergoes observation, before a return to action.

A "sinus fracture" sounds like an awfully uncomfortable thing to play hockey with, so it's no surprise that Hischier will be out long-term. Here's hoping the 22 year old former 1st overall pick picks up right where he left off. In five games with the Devils he has a stellar two goals and three points. His career high came in his rookie season where he posted up 20 goals and 52 points in 82 games, but there's reason to believe that this kid can produce a lot more.
