The Boston Bruins might have come out on top of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday as Craig Smith scored with 11 seconds left in overtime, head coach Bruce Cassidy wanted more from his team. And he demanded it during practice on Wednesday.

According to many insiders present at the rink, including Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, Cassidy flipped out at his players during practice drills, as he was not satisfied with what they were doing on the ice.

“Do the [expletive] drill right!”

He then went on to laying it down before a two-on-two drill: “We’re trying to build something here. Straight-line [expletive] hockey."

The Bruins face off against the Penguins again on Thursday night and will have to provide more offense. Because the Pens almost won the game on several chances, they just failed to capitalize.

The Penguins had two exceptional chances to win in overtime, but forward Evgeni Malkin’s breakaway early in the extra period went over goalie Tuukka Rask’s shoulder and hit the crossbar. And then the Pens had a 3-on-0 with about a minute left but didn’t get a shot off.

Cassidy is expecting more from his Bruins and he sure made that clear on Wednesday.
