The Boston Bruins may have just lost one of their most impactful players under very unfortunate circumstances.

According to a breaking news report from Boston Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe, Bruins star forward Brad Marchand has been spotted limping off the ice after leading the Bruins in their morning stretch ahead of a pivotal Game 4 in their second round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the New York Islanders.

At this time we have very few details to share with you in regards to how Marchand was injured, but according to Shinzawa the injury would appear to be located somewhere on the right side of his lower body. Shinzawa reports that Marchand "appeared" to be favoring his right foot, and thus far that is all we have to go on.

Marchand has been a huge force for the Bruins in these Stanley Cup Playoffs, including scoring the game winner in the overtime frame of Game 3 to give the Bruins a 2 - 1 lead in this series.

Stay tuned for more details.
