According to a report from insider Elliotte Friedman, some NHL teams are looking at adding 21 year old Swedish goaltender Arvid Soderblom, currently playing with Skelleftea in the SHL. In particular, Friedman links Soderblom to the Chicago Blackhawks.

From Friedman's most recent 31 Thoughts column for Sportsnet:

A few teams are looking at Arvid Soderblom, a goalie for Skelleftea in Sweden. I’d guess Chicago would be one.

Makes sense, right? The Blackhawks are woefully thin at the position and Soderblom seems like a good bet to develop into a full-time NHL starter. The unrestricted free agent has an impressive 2.04 goals against average and .922 save percentage in 17 games with Skelleftea this season, his first full season in the pro league.

Thoughts, Blackhawks fans?
