According to a report from Sportsnet NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Los Angeles Kings have signed free agent forward Andreas Athanasiou to a one year contract worth $1.2 million.

The 26 year old speedster put up 11 goals and 26 points in 55 games split between the Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers last season.
