This is not a drill, people!

The National Hockey League regular season is finally upon us. The Chicago Blackhawks will be kicking off their season in the Rocky Mountains with a matchup against the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow night, followed by trips to New Jersey and Pittsburgh before returning home to the friendly confines of United Center for the home opener against the New York Islanders.

The roster has been set in stone, as all 32 NHL clubs had to submit their final rosters by yesterday afternoon. Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman has put the finishing touches on the names that will be hitting the ice tomorrow.

During today's practice, they skated with the lines that fans can expect to see hit the ice at Ball Arena in Denver. New acquisition Tyler Johnson is centering the top line and is flanked by Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat, while captain Jonathan Toews makes his official return skating with Philipp Kurashev and Dominik Kubalík. Meanwhile, new Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones skated with Calvin de Haan on the top defensive pairing.

Take a look below:

(Gustafsson-Regula fourth pairing)

The Blackhawks take on the Avalanche tomorrow at 10:00 PM EST.
