Bieksa is a legend.

One of the best parts of the National Hockey League broadcast this season has been the addition of former NHLer Kevin Bieksa. Bieksa has provided incredible insight when thrown to during a number of segments and he offers an extremely educated and unique perspective of the game that I am simply not used to hearing from other analysts.

Even more impressive than his analytical skill however has been his wonderful sense of humor, one that has appeared to win over even the most fierce Kevin Bieksa haters that didn't love the way he carried himself during his career in the league. Bieksa has been nothing short of hilarious and right up at the top of the list has been the little cameo's that he has introduced into his segments on the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, cameo's that come in the form of photos on his mantle.

These little hidden gems have left fans in stitches with his most famous one at this point probably being his picture of former teammate Ryan Kesler, a picture in which Kesler appears with no clothes on for ESPN in one edition of their ESPN "Body" issue. That one was of course funny and it prompted an even better reaction from Kesler when he learned of the prank, but on Saturday night Bieksa truly stepped his game up.

Once again Bieksa had a photo in the background, but this time it wasn't hidden at all. Instead behind Bieksa we could all clearly see a giant cardboard cutout of former Hockey Night In Canada broadcaster Brian Burke, a colleague of Bieksa's as he was starting out at HNIC, one that seemed large enough to be life sized.

Now merely having the former co-host turned President of Hockey Operations for the Pittsburgh Penguins would have been funny enough, however Bieksa made it even more special by routinely throwing questions to Burke who of course remained stoic and silent in the background. Even when the initial joke was over, Bieksa randomly threw to Burke again later during the broadcast, eliciting a laugh from all of his colleagues on the show and no doubt from many of the fans watch at home.

Look at this close up of Burke's face, it's glorious.

This picture was my favorite, Bieksa keeping as straight a face as humanly possible while his co-host can't help but laugh.
