Zdeno Chara is 44 years young.
On Thursday night, as the New York Islanders crushed the Washington Capitals 8-4, and at the end of the game, Chara wanted to make the Isles pay.
He dropped the gloves with Matt Martin. Yes, he is 44.
That’s never been, and we want to say never will be, a problem for the veteran blue liner. He did not hesitate once in his fight with Martin, dropping the gloves and getting the winger on his knees.

This was his first fight of the shortened 2021 season, but might not be his last.
Since the beginning of his career in the NHL, Chara has fought 76 times on the ice.
And he still looks good doing it.
